I had to drive up to West Hollywood this morning to work on a project (I live in the South Bay, so it’s a hike) only to realize that the entire project is inconveniently on a portable hard drive at home. Thankfully, I keep multiple backups of my projects, and always have FCP auto-save to a separate hard drive than the one my project is on.

I was able to thankfully grab my most recent auto-save, mount the card files from my project and everything’s happily reconnecting.

It pays to keep backups!
